[*1] 日々是好日 (nichi nichi kore kou nichi) is a Zen Buddhist expression that means “Every day is a good day”.
Youtube searching it gave me a video, with a translation I give in this link:

I think it’s a good way to view life, personally.
I thought of just leaving it in the romanized Japanese for the translation, but I think that’s more confusing than restating it twice.

[*2] Yubi tomatte refers to a childhood practice in Japan of pointing at something and saying “lets meet here tomorrow!”
