Unlike (https://aeroreborn.blog/2025/01/20/whats-the-white-magic/), this song is focused on the character’s story in the game Touhou Seirensen ~ Undefined Fantastic Object, where this character is sealed away in Makai (~hell) until the main characters unwittingly help Byakuren’s friends set her free.
This song is from the perspective of the youkai friends that Byakuren was sealed away for helping — in game and in this song they clearly miss her dearly and are elated to have freed her, and view her as a paragon of Buddhism and a true friend.
