General Lyric Summary/Context: Touhou’s portrayal of Prince Shotoku (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prince_Sh%C5%8Dtoku)
talks about their famous power to ‘listen to the desires of 10 people at once’. This is what the song refers to as “to see”.
[Note: This song often will write one word, then voice a different word instead, when this happens I placed the extra context that’s added in parenthesis.]

Too much idle chattering…
I don’t want such (unnecessary)! things
Your degenerate desires,
I want to hear more of that, come on!
I command you to hope,
for I can see your wishes, you know?
Ideals?
A thing like that is my eternity.

Somewhere, forgotten* [lapsed in oblivion]:
Guideposts all around stacking up;
the desperate path one took
only piling up, distorted —
Encountering only ‘Better luck next time’**;
“Even so, they will comprehend (understand) someday“
A very important feeling.
Where is it?
運命なら

いま必要なの

咲き誇る

If it’s my fate, that I can see
It is needed now, that I can see.
If this is will make [that which is me] bloom in perfusion;
It’s just a game to me; for one day or another, it will come to an end.
運命ならそこに 見える
いま 必要なの それが 視える
sadame nara soko ni mieru
ima hitsuyou nano sore ga mieru.
If it’s my fate, that I can see
Now, It is needed that I can see.
運命ならそこに 見える
いま 必要なの それが 視える
sadame nara soko ni mieru
ima hitsuyou na no sore ga mieru.
If it’s my fate, that I can see (the desires of others)
Now, It is needed that I can see that.

TD Final Stage Theme: A Small Desire’s Starry Sky
** Hazure means “miss” but it’s used in stuff like this:

In the Touhou franchise, there are less than 10 characters who are male — the vast majority of characters are female because (according to ZUN) it is easier to show symbolism and who the characters are folk lore wise through female clothing than male clothing. Given that ZUN draws all the characters himself, this explanation holds a lot of water to me. I’m not gonna pretend that it isn’t also for cute points but the reasoning is sound to me.
