In context to the game, this is an arrange of Reimu’s (the main character of Touhou)’s theme.

*Figuring out the title was big rabbit hole to open with what this could mean, but….

Nara (那羅) is not a normal Japanese word or kanji. Both are utterly foreign to me and I commonly read Japanese at a college level. It doesn’t come up at all if you type Nara with a Japanese keyboard and use autocomplete (which is a good metric for ‘does the average person even conceive of this concept’)

Looking up the Kanji and sifting through a whoooole lot of religious lore/possible meanings,
Nara (那羅) refers to “narayana”, an avatar of the Hindu supreme being Vishnu (the god of the universe directly from which we are all derived from).

Basically, Vishnu is responsible for preserving the universe (while Brahma creates it and Shiva destroys it simultaneously) — he is the god of balance between these two things.

Used in this context,
we can get
捨　- abandon
那羅 – Vishnu (the ‘god/ideal/concept of an ideal balance’)

I can’t think of a way to elegantly say this in English, but I would say from this that the title (and shanara)’s meaning is 
“Indifference to Vishnu” or “Acceptance of Vishnu”.

As Reimu’s theme unique to Touhou 19 (she has 5 themes or so, so this song carries a particular intonation as being ‘solely from this game’), the song itself carries a very lighthearted tone relative to the rest of the soundtrack. 

Cutting 5 paragraphs to one, Reimu is basically the embodiment of “shanara” in the way she behaves and acts since the start of the franchise. The final boss is an (evil) Bodhisattva (can’t get more Bodhi than ‘can manipulate ‘nothingness’) who is basically styling on the world and starting stuff to assert dominance and Reimu’s existence as a ‘live in the present’ person causes the final boss to question the point of [the entire plot they make] — if they are so powerful/enlightened, what’s there to prove?


**To the line
“The lotus butterfly dances in the wilds”:
やはり 野 に 舞え 蓮花蝶
(Yahari no ni mae ringechou)

野 means ‘field’ but it’s a common typo/pun creator with the hiragana sound の to the point that it would be perfectly reasonable to use it as a double speak.
の is like an apostrophe.

Thus, the song has two possible translations:
With 野, it’s 

“As I thought, The Lotus Butterfly dances in the field”

but with の it becomes
“Even though I knew it already, “The Lotus Butterfly””.

The Lotus is the buddhist symbol of purity – undirtied by the swamp
while
The Butterfly is the buddhist symbol of change – “They are masters of change. They accept the transformative nature of existence. They embrace discomfort to become something more free and beautiful.”

Tying this back to Touhou, “Red White Lotus Butterfly” is the original theme song for the main character of Touhou, Reimu Hakurei and is used as a ‘title/descriptor’ for the character on multiple occasions

Thus, we can also take the line as 
“And yet, sure enough, it’s Reimu Hakurei.”

In universe, Reimu is the guardian of the setting and all the games revolve around her beating up someone who breaks the balance of ‘Japanese never ever fantasy land’. 

Her actual powers in universe come from what is functionally ‘effortless action’. Reimu doesn’t think beyond that which is necessary and is always entirely focused on whatever is going on at the time and her powers are derived from this (truly a ‘game character’; she legitimately cannot be hurt or harmed unless she ‘believes’ she was hit by something (and her offensive moves work the same way). 

This song is sung from her own perspective of the people around her who are constantly scheming and plotting for some end or another.


***勝手 (katte) literally means ‘winning hand’ but usually means ‘freely’, ‘selfishly’, or ‘by one’s own convenience/own way’.  

The sentence is hard to translate into English easily because “勝手なこと” means like “things that are only your way/convenient to you/whatever you want to”

The whole sentence is trying to convey something like 
“Don’t just talk willy nilly about whatever you feel like, think about what and how your words affect things!”

****有難迷惑 gives me “Unwelcome favor”, which isn’t what I want but what is written is 

“The other party had good intentions but caused trouble and was not helpful.”


*& Literally “Conflict” and “Salvation”, 

If I wasn’t trying to fit the cadence/keep the original words, I’d write 

“Even if you all weren’t around, 
conflicts and resolution will still happen on schedule, you know?”
